Farewell Dr Carolin Herzog
On 31 January 2021, Dr Carolin Herzog officially retired from her post as TGCL Manager of the Tanzanian-German Centre for Eastern African Legal Studies to work for The African Network of Germany (TANG) in Freiburg. To all of us from the TGCL in Dar es Salaam and Bayreuth as well as the Chair of African Legal Studies at the University of Bayreuth, Dr Carolin has been much more than just the TGCL Manager for the last several years. We truly appreciate her dependable, supportive, encouraging and kind nature and are very thankful for everything she has done. Under the Administration of her as TGCL Manger, the Centre really had the opportunity to thrive. TANG is incredibly lucky to now receive these qualities from her. We will do our best to make sure we uphold the work ethic and commitment that Dr Carolin is known for. On this new opportunity, the TGCL and the Chair of African Legal Studies wish Dr Carolin all the best for her new adventures and challenges, the best of luck, continued success as well as God’s blessings, and we truly hope to stay in touch and that our paths will cross again in the future.
